Here is the start of my magazine draft, I haven't gotten very far with it as I am still learn how to use Photoshop on the iMac so I have been going slowly and watching tutorials to help me. I am gradually getting there, and the image below is the magazine and we trying to make the background black, however because the background wasn't plain its a lot harder as I keep getting the image in the bits I want to remove from my photo. This was a photo I had taken during filming of the protagonist Maddie.

Editing session 7
Today we looked at the order of our shots to ensure that
they are the way that we want them at this particular part of our editing,
however we still have time to change or update our ideas. Our trailer is based
upon the Todorov’s theory and we wanted to ensure that our shots were in the
correct order to represent this theory. So we just went over our montage again
to ensure that the shots were short and concise to ensure that it was sinister
and quick paced.
Here is our montage, since we have used the blade to cut it,
I got the blade and used it to trim down some of our shots to ensure that they
were quick and effective.
Here is the aspect of our trailer where the normality scenes
our presented within the Todorov’ theory. However there are hints towards the realisation
of the disruption of the Todorov’s theory, where we have the male whispering
into the antagonist’s ear.
Here we have the realisation of the Todorov’s theory, this
is where the trailer starts to take a more sinister edge to it and we see more
antagonists start to appear.
Here we have a masked figure that I used to the blade on to
make it more short and concise, and by doing this it enabled it to look more
sinister, which will allow it to be more effective.

Editing session 6
During today’s lesson we didn’t get as much work completed
as we intended, this was due to the fact that the IMac had been updated and had
put our work into another folder, which we struggled to find. Fortunately we found
the work, when the software had updated it had put all the work into another
folder in order to save it.
Today I also changed some of our shots from normal to a distortion effect, this was to add a more sinister effect, however it didn't look correct.
The original image.
Here is the image after I had expanded the image to look landscape.
Today due to our set back in the lesson we decided to
concentrate mainly upon our montage in the trailer sequence. I have previously
analysed the ‘You’re Next’ trailer and I suggested to make group to use it as
inspiration for our trailer montage. So I showed them the trailer and they
agreed that the montage in this film was extremely effective and would be good
to use as inspiration for our final piece. I also suggested that our montage
shots were too long and the rest of my group agreed to be concentrated on
cutting these shots down to between 0.5-1 seconds. The fact that we had
increase our montage made it more sinister and a lot more effective.
Here above is the inspiration I suggested to my group that we should use, and they both agreed as they liked the montage and thought it was very effective, so we are going to use it as inspiration. However without the non-diegetic soundtrack I don't believe it would be as effective as it is, because I have watched it with and without sound the montage, and it is definitely more sinister with the non-diegetic soundtrack, so I think when we consider our diegetic or non-diegetic sound it needs to be considered very carefully.
