Today me and my group went back and we continued to editing, this involved the removal of sound we no longer needed and colour matching more shots to show continuity throughout where it is needed.
Here is another shot we had to play around with in order to keep continuity, as you can see in the footage I had the crop icon up as the extreme close up of Maddie was originally portrait so I enlarged it further to make the footage landscape to fit in with the rest of the trailer. I also colour matched the close up to the extreme close up because they were in different lightings. So I had to colour match because they were in the same setting and to ensure we had continuity.
Here is a where we decided to remove our character Elliot walking from the car to the front door, as we thought it was quite boring and time consuming. We didn't think it would keep our audience gripped enough. So I used the black to remove the walk from the car to the house and then we incorporated a transition to encourage more continuity and it worked more effectively as it is no longer too long.
Previously we did some research into home invasions and we based on movie loosely upon this research, so we decided to incorporate this into our trailer sequence. I also believe that this will make the feel more afraid as this makes the events even more realistic, especially to real life.
