Editing session 3

In our third editing session we started to colour match our photos to help continue the continuity for the chronological order aspect of our trailer. The lighting for the two pieces of raw footage that we used were not the same and it disrupted the continuity, so I tried the colour matching on Final Cut Pro X and it worked very well. They looked like they were filmed in the exact same lighting once I had change the colour of the footage.

Here is an image of the timeline for our
trailer, this is showing a part of the our
raw footage that we colour matched.

Here is an image of the two colours that
we colour matched together. The first
image is the correct colour that we
wanted. So I chose the correct image
and colour matched it to the
second image so they were the same.
I did this to keep continuity.

This is the different settings
that you can choose when doing
the colour match. You can alter the
colour, the amount of exposure,
saturation and the fade, as
well as many other things.
