Typography

For our title I would like to use red text to hint at the conventions of a psychological thriller, so it will hint at the idea of blood.

This text looks like it has been scratched using blood, which looks scary is the look that I want to aim for. The connotations of red suggests violence, blood and death and this hints and foreshadows the conventions of a psychological horror. The idea of the text being in red draws your attention to it instantly.

This text looked again like book and its been drawn on but not fully joined up, this would add enigma because who's going to bleed, this makes you want to watch why this has specifically been done. This is deliberately done to create fear and alarm, to make the audience feel frightened.

This image is not as scary as the other because it is in black, but black connotes death and fear and this is the representation that we would like of psychological horror to send across to our audience. 

These are just a few ideas of text that I am thinking about considering, however I am going do further research into typography as I think the is very scary. However I think the text in very important in grabbing the audiences attention, so the typography is something that I need to consider will a great deal of care, before I pick one. Red is a colour that I definitely want to consider because I think the connotations of red; gore, violence and blood fit incredible well with the conventions of a psychological horror.
