The image below is of our initial ideas for our horror trailer, we worked as a group to come up with different ideas which fit with the tzvetan todorov theory. We have are equilibrium in the box that is numbered one, then number two and two and half are representing hint towards the disruption of the equilibrium. Then three and four is the disruption of the equilibrium, then five, is the recognition of the disruption to the equilibrium. Then six and seven is an attempt to repair the disruption and then the final one eight is the trailer attempting to go back to the new equilibrium.
The image below is suggestions for the names of the character and the individuals that we have asked to play the characters. Are friends playing the characters are; Lauren, Amy and Sam.
Amy - Maddie (Sex appeal and Protagonist)
Lauren - Delaney (which means dark rival) (Antagonist)
Sam - Elliot
Police officer - We haven't decided on a character for this yet
The video below is some more music I found and is good for inspiration of the type of music I will consider to my group to include in our horror trailer.
These our the scenes that represent the equilibrium, this will show a young couple celebrating their anniversary together. Maddie and Elliot are moving into a new house which Maddie inherited after her mum and dad tragically died. They will be unpacking boxes and she will find a family photo and then the audience will be told that her parents dies via dialogue, then they will be celebrating being together whilst cooking. The camera will concentrate on the female curves to appeal to sex appeal and male gaze theory. We will witness pills that Maddie is taking for depression and they can lead to allusions.
The part two of the trailer is showing Elliot cheating with Delaney, and Maddie is going to witness this. The cheating will be hints at the disruption of the equilibrium, and Delaney is going to secretly taunt Maddie. Delaney knows that Maddie has seen her and Elliot together.
Delaney starts to leave messages around Maddie and Elliots home to taunt Maddie, to make her delusional. She wants to take Elliot from Maddie and she will stop at nothing to get what it is that she wants, she will even go as far as murder.
Then three is the disruption of the equilibrium we will have Delaney standing outside of the patio doors covered in mud and blood, whilst its raining. This will scare and panic the audience and Maddie but when she get Elliot to look there will be nothing there and it will be dry outside, this will start a seed of doubt in Elliots mind that Maddie is going insane, due to the depression tablets she has been taking.
Elliot works away and there is a home invasion done by masked people, one of these individuals is Delaney, there is a chase through the house. Delaney chases Maddie through the house with a knife, capturing her at the stairs and pulling her down. The masked figures have destroyed parts of the house, but Maddie escapes and runs up the street to find Elliot coming home, she tells him what has happened and they go back to the house and everything is perfectly impacted. Is she going insane?
The pressure is getting to Maddie, the one she loves is cheating, he doesn't believe her and she has been attacked, she's dealing with the guilt of loosing her parents. This is due to her paranoia, she's pale and bruised. Does she die?
The she gets flash forwards of articles of the death of her parents and a man missing. Is that male Elliot. These will be distorted images of the articles to show the audience that they might of might not be real.
Maddie keeps having hallucinations one is of Delaney with her boyfriend dead on the kitchen floor, this would again be another distorted image so the audience don't know if its real or not. This will be done to add enigma.
Then the attempting to restore the new equilibrium is a police officer accusing Maddie of being involved in the disappearance of her boyfriend. But she thinks he dead! We she look suspicious? We they think she did it? Was she involved and can't remember?
Narrative
A young couple have inherited a house after Maddie's parents are tragically killed. Dishonesty and murder, stand to pull her into her depth of despair. Taunted by the dead, betrayal by those she loves. Blood and murder stand a chance to send her insane.
Title name
Oppression - This stands for abuse, suffering, brutality, cruelty and injustice which perfectly decides the film.

Text is shown in this trailer between one minute thirty-five, and one minute forty-one and we are thinking of including this and this will be the quote that I have found.
